What we did today:
- today we edited a piece of writing from the board to help us practice the editing phase of the writing process. We also looked at word choice in my writing, thinking about better word choice. Once we completed the editing, we were to reflect on how our lives will impact our Point of View and Perspective. - during PE, we played ringette games. - we read some more of "Wonder" today. What was the most interesting part of the book that we read today? - We are continuing to use cubism on our portraits. What part of your portrait is most reflective of you. - in science, both grades worked on their projects. The grade 5's also learned about the water cycle and how it makes clouds. - in math, we continued investigating number sense using partial numbers. How can we communicate our understanding with standard form, expanded form, written form and plotting numbers on a number line. It is called the 'Green Cantern’ based on the superhero the Green Lantern. We’re collecting green items such as cans and boxes for this! Please drop off any items to the Idea Lab. Thanks for your support with this. All items will be donated to the Calgary Food Bank after we build our structure. Wish us luck with our contest!
