What we did today:
- today was international Character Day, and to celebrate we had two guest readers come in and read us a book related to Character - we brainstormed what good writers do - we practiced using the writing skill of "show don't tell" by changing the sentence, "It was foggy", into something that shows us instead of telling us - we reflected on the quotes of "You are a conductor of light" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and "Strong people don't put others down. They lift them up" by Michael P. Watson. - during math we practiced number sense and if the work was not completed at school, it was to be completed at home - we did a See/Think/Wonder of the movie poster for "Revolution" Notices: - Admazing Coupon Books: please keep sending the forms in when you have some sales - Picture Day forms sent home, please return by Picture Day Important Dates: - NO SCHOOL: Friday, September 23rd (tomorrow) due to Professional Development Day - Picture Day: Class and Individual on Wednesday, September 28th Homework: - math: Capital Cities page on number sense if it was not completed during class time.
