What we did today:
- today we edited a simple text for COPS, identifying key capitalization, punctuation and spelling errors seen in our writing this year. What was the introductory sentence you came up with to go with our paragraph on Wants and Needs? - during PE, we played floor hockey games. There was a competitive and a non-competivitive game. - we watched this video - https://vimeo.com/38247060 called Austin's Butterfly to help us give better peer feedback that is specific and safe. Although this was feedback on art, we discussed how this feedback can be used in all areas of our learning. We then gave each other feedback on our first drafts of our portraits and hopefully used this feedback in our second draft. - both grades got their math quizzes back today. Please review them, return them signed and corrected by Thursday. - took a look at the definition of what a Right and a Responsibility is. Then we looked at the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, discussing why it was created Notices:

Please send in any you may have over the next few weeks to the Idea Lab. Canstruction Canstruction Club just began this week with the grade 5 and 6’s who signed up! We will be designing and creating a structure out of non-perishable food items as part of a contest in partner with the Mayor’s 28th Annual Christmas Food Drive for the Calgary Food Bank. The project is called Canstruction Jr. We are asking for donations to help us build our structure and are specifically looking for green items such as cans and boxes that are green in colour. This wad my topic sentence. The possibilities between a want and a need are infinite, I can't list them all but here are a couple.
